Free bike tour of the Luberon

By small, picturesque and uncrowded roads, this cycling route, accessible to all, crosses some of the most beautiful landscapes and villages of the Luberon.

A beautiful itinerary, well arrowed at each crossroads, which will save you from having your nose stuck to the map to fully enjoy your ride. A sumptuous and bright nature in an exceptional Provencal climate.

Day 1: Cavaillon > Lauris - Distance: 29 km /Elevation difference: + 60 m

From Cavaillon to Lauris. Departure in Cavaillon of your cycling tour in Luberon. Along the Durance River, you will cross the villages of Mérindol, and Puget before arriving at your first accommodation in Lauris.

Day 2: Lauris > Grambois - Distance: 30 km /Elevation difference: + 280 m

From Lauris to Grambois (or La Bastide-des-Jourdans). Day of the Castles of the Luberon. Passage through the small villages of Puyvert, Lourmarin, Vaugines, Cucuron, Cabrières d'Aigues and the Motte d'Aigues.

Day 3: Grambois > Manosque - Distance: 35 km /Elevation difference: + 300 m

From Grambois to Manosque (or La Bastide-des-Jourdans). The Pays d'Aigues. Stage crossing the villages of Beaumont-de-Pertuis and Pierrevert crossroads of the departments of Var, Vaucluse, Bouches-du-Rhône and Alpes de Haute-Provence.

Day 4: Manosque > Forcalquier - Distance: 30 to 40 km /Elevation difference: + 300 to 500 m

From Manosque to Forcalquier (or Saint-Michel l'Observatoire). In the land of Giono. You will again follow the Durance via Volx and Villeneuve and then cross the eastern Luberon to reach Forcalquier, “Cité des four queens”.

Day 5: Forcalquier > Céreste - Distance: 38 km /Elevation difference: + 450 m

From Forcalquier to Céreste (or Saint-Michel l'Observatoire). In the land of the Counts of Forcalquier. You will return the road to Dauphin. You will bypass the village from the north to reach Saint-Michel l'Observatoire. The markup will then take you to the outskirts of the village of Aubenas-les-Alpes, then Vachères. After passing Reillanne, you will arrive at Céreste.

Day 6: Céreste > Apt - Distance: 36 km /Elevation difference: + 200 m

From Céreste to Apt by Rustrel. The Colorado Provencal. Passing through Saint-Martin-de-Castillon to arrive at Apt. Loop route to Colorado Provencal and/or the Ochres de Roussillon.

Day 7: Apt > Cavaillon - Distance: 45 km /Elevation difference: + 250 m

From Apt to Cavaillon. The hilltop villages on the north slope. You will cross the Plateau des Claparèdes to reach the villages of Bonnieux and Lacoste. Then, you will continue along the road along the Petit Luberon via Ménerbes, Maubec, and Robion. End of stay in Cavaillon.
