The Mediterranean by bike

The Mediterranean by bike, French part of the EuroVelo 8, one of the major European routes linking 12 European countries, 7200 km: from Cadiz (Spain) to Izmir in Turkey.

The bike route connects Spain to Italy via Perpignan, Narbonne, Montpellier, Béziers, Sète, Tarascon, Apt, Manosque, Draguignan, Nice and Menton for 850 km.

In the Luberon, the route is marked, it is partly common with the Véloroute du Calavon and 'Autour du Luberon' in the North. From Manosque, two options: continue cycling through the bridge over the Durance and follow the D8 with great caution or prefer the TER train from Manosque to Meyrargues (TER PACA - SNCF) to continue cycling to Rians and Draguignan.

The route ensures continuity between the Parcs du Luberon and Verdon. It thus joins Sillans-la-Cascade and continues along the old railway line of the train des Pignes (the Var!). In the Alpes de Haute-Provence, the route is marked on shared routes.

Find the entire route on the tourist map of the Mediterranean by Vélo and all the addresses 'Accueil Vélo' on France Vélo Tourisme.
