Verdon Regional Natural Park
From the Alpes de Haute-Provence to the Var, the Verdon Regional Natural Park extends from Saint-André-les-Alpes, to Aups. There are many treasures... sometimes spectacular!
See the Verdon in Great!
Exceptional landscapes at the crossroads of Provence and the Alps, whose reputation attracts visitors from all over the world and justify the classification as a Regional Natural Park.
Gorges du Verdon, Lake Sainte-Croix, Lake Esparron, Lake Castillon, Valensole Plateau... These landscapes are all common goods that must be preserved and valued at the same time. This quest for balance is not easy. The Park is responsible for ensuring it but it must be the business of all: residents and visitors.
From winter to summer, the Verdon is ideal for exploring on foot or by bike. The Artuby and Prealps Mountains will be particularly appreciated for their freshness in summer. The ascents of Puy de Rent (1996 m) or Mont Chiran (1905 m), emblematic local peaks, will allow you to gain height and see far! In spring, autumn and winter the Valensole plateau and the hills of the Haut Var will feel the sweetness of life of the Verdon.
Do not miss to visit the Maison du Parc and a good trip to discover the thousands and faces and landscapes of the Verdon!
Practical: the site www.cheminsdesparcs.fr will be a tool perfectly adapted to the organization of your nature walks!
