Biscuiterie de Forcalquier
During your bike rides, stop at the Biscuiterie de Forcalquier. Come and taste the biscuits made by hand in the workshop with organic farm flours from old Provencal varieties!
'Push the door, let yourself be carried by the smell, and take the time to observe ourselves when making our cookies... '
Housed in an old forge in Forcalquier in Haute-Provence, this artisanal biscuit makes all its recipes from old wheat, as well as with gluten-free flours produced from chestnut, buckwheat and rice.
The flour comes from organic farming and produced by the Moulin Pichard in the Alpes de Haute-Provence, for 6 generations. The last family mill in operation of the department, these enthusiasts favor regional producers.
In order to explain their know-how and respond to the curiosity of visitors, the workshops are visible through large windows, allowing to see the machines and discover all the steps necessary to make these Provencal sweets.
Adjoining, a beautiful direct sale shop offers a wide range of gourmet products and specialties including: Macaroons with almonds and fruits, Shuttles de Provence, the famous Gibassié and the Crunchy almonds.
The site is equipped with repair kit, bike pumps and bicycle rack.
