Colorado Provencal
Iconic and historic site of the Ochres in the Rustrel, in the Luberon. Discovery of a unique natural place during a bike break on the roads of Provence.
The Colorado Provencal, a former ochre quarry, has been a listed site since 2002.
Entirely private, we work to preserve this exceptional site with the owners, heirs of the ocriers and the Municipality of Rustrel.
Two walking tours are open from February to December. They cross the ancient quarries with remains scattered around the edges of the orange, red and yellow hills and the forest with breathtaking views of the Fairy Chimneys and other geological curiosities.
Cycling is forbidden in the site, fragile, we invite you to leave it in the parking lot; departure of the circuits on foot.
