Great MTB crossings - TransLuberon

This mountain bike roaming crosses the highlands of the Luberon. The trails pass near ochres, hilltop villages and the mountains of the Petit and Grand Luberon.

5 steps from 46 km to 49 km - 900 m to 1400 m D+

On the program:

Day 1: Apt

Reception, free dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Apt > Vitrolles-en-Luberon

Breakfast. Departure for your first stage of the Grande Traversée du Luberon: the plateau of Caseneuve, the Plains of Calavon and Largue, crossing hinges between the Monts du Vaucluse and the Eastern Luberon. Technically affordable, this step alternates up and down sections. Dinner and night.

Day 3: Vitrolles-en-Luberon > Lauris

Breakfast. Departure to the ridges of the Grand Luberon. Panoramic view. We then follow on a technical descent, passing through villages and hamlets typical of the Luberon Regional Natural Park. We then follow alternately ascends and descents towards the little Luberon. This route is more difficult than the previous day and more technical. Dinner and night.

Day 4: Lauris > Maubec

Breakfast. Departure for a long climb in the bottom of the valley and finish on the heights of the little Luberon and the forest of the Cedars. Track to Mérindol and route through Garrigues and Cliffs. We end with a nice descent to Robion and Maubec. Dinner and night.

Day 5: Maubec > Roussillon

Breakfast. This stage will be less difficult, start on the north face of the Petit Luberon, you cross typical villages: Oppede le Vieux, Gordes. Descent in the Gorges de la Véroncle and then go up to reach Roussillon and its ochre massif. Dinner and night.

Day 6: Roussillon > Apt

Breakfast. This stage takes you from an ochrier massif to the Colorado Provencal, then return to your starting point the city of Apt. Dinner and night.

Day 7: Apt

End of stay after breakfast.
