Star route, on small quiet roads, which will delight the most sporty but
can be arranged for loafers and photo lovers.

Accommodation and friendly welcome in an authentic Provencal farmhouse. Hearty meal based on vegetables from the vegetable garden and local products. And for horse lovers: horse riding on site. Not pedaling welcome on this stay: it will also be the starting point for superb courses with the colors and scents of Provence.

Day 1: Welcome to Nails

Christine will warmly welcome you to her renovated Provencal farmhouse
in a cottage with a welcome aperitif and a briefing on the stay and the different
itineraries proposed. Dinner and overnight stay at the cottage.

Day 2: Pays de Forcalquier and Foot de Lure
Rock of Nails, Nails, Saint-Etienne, Cruis, Montlaux, Sigonce, Lurs, Forcalquier, Rock of Nails/60 km — D+ 770 m (possibility to shorten the loop)
After a hearty breakfast, reach the foot of the mountain of Lure, the small villages of Saint- Etienne les Orgues, Cruis and the wild and preserved nature of the hills of Sigonce. Enjoy a detour in Lurs, one of the most beautiful hilltop villages in the region, for a break in its country bistro with panoramic views of the Durance. On the way, you can swim at the Moneyssargues waterfalls and visit the oldest olive oil mill in the region.
On the return, visit Forcalquier, “city of the 4 queens”, its citadel and its
shopping alleys. Dinner and overnight stay at the cottage.

Day 3: Lavender Circuit Rock of Nails, Lardiers, Saumane, Banon, Revest du Bion, Simiane, Carniol, Revest des Brousses, Rocher d'Nails/64,5 km — D+ 900 m

An explosion of scents and colors await you on this loop with
very varied landscapes: Lardiers valley and its fragrant fields, village of Banon and its small shops. After a good coast, join the Albion plateau, small roads dotted with fields of lavender and sage and its panoramic view of the Ventoux... Finally, take the time to climb to the medieval village of Simiane la Rotonde and its dungeon. Dinner and overnight stay at the cottage.

Day 4: At the gates of the Luberon
Rocher d'Ongles, Forcalquier, Dauphin, St Martin les eaux, Reillanne, Cowhères, Revest des Brousses, Rocher d'Ongles/63 km — D+ 930 m
This morning, a small winding road will take you to Forcalquier. From valleys to valleys, you will reach the agricultural plain of Mane: possible visit to the Priory of Salagon and its ethnobotanical garden and a little further away, the small village of Dauphin and its medieval alleys. By small quiet roads at the foot of the Luberon, reach the beautiful village of Reillanne: a gourmet stop. Before returning home, a few last strokes of pedals in the middle of the lavender fields of the Plateau de Vachères. Dinner and overnight stay at the cottage.

Day 5: Crossing the Montagne de Lure, sports day!
St Etienne les Orgues, Mont de Lure, Sisteron, Peipin, Cruis/101 km — D+ 1755 m
After a beautiful climb of 18 km, you will reach the summit of the Montagne de Lure (1800 m). Breathtaking landscapes await you on the ridges and, on the north slope the green Jabron Valley, Sisteron and its citadel (10 km A/R); return via Piedmont de Lure.
End of stay - possibility of a last night at the cottage (not included)
