It is strongly recommended that you take this tour out of summer season and adapt your schedules. In summer, attendance is very important, making the course dangerous.

The tour starts from Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, a Provencal village nestled between two cliffs and ranked among the Most Beautiful Villages in France. The road rises rapidly above Lake Sainte-Croix, with the Valensole Plateau as a backdrop.

As you progress towards the heart of the gorges,

“the spectacular fault of the Grand Canyon is revealed”,

culminating up to 700 m high above the emerald waters of the Verdon. Cross the Col de l'Olivier (718m) then the Col d'Ayen (1033m) before reaching La Palud-sur-Verdon for a deserved break.

Join the famous Route des Crêtes, 800 meters after leaving the village in the direction of Rougon (direction of traffic to respect). 24km long, the road is punctuated by numerous lookouts that follow one another,

“offering the most beautiful views of the Verdon Gorges, a landscape unique in the world. Memorable.”

Back in La Palud-sur-Verdon, descend cautiously to Moustiers-Sainte-Marie.
