Day 3: Bike itinerary on the filming footsteps of the cult films of Luberon
Be your own guide, assisted by our roadbook and define your road-movie route: Cursed Grass, The Deadly Summer, The Castle of Olives (series), Love in Legacy (series), Welcome to the Ch'tis, The Heart of Men, A Great Year...
So many films by browsing our iconic villages that were the cradle of so many beautiful and rich stories on small and big screen!
With mountain bikes (or VTC) and our roadbook dedicated to walks through the famous locations of French cinema, discover the natural scenery used by filmmakers for cult films: the 2-part family drama 'Jean de Florette 'and 'Manon des Sources' was shot in the South Luberon in Vaugines, Mirabeau, Ansouis and in the countryside surrounding. The village of Grambois served as a setting for some scenes from 'The Glory of My Father 'and 'The Castle of My Mother'.
Some scenes from Jean-Paul Rappeneau's film, 'Le Hussard sur le Roof ', a novel by Jean Giono, were shot at Cucuron but many other films were shot at unusual or authentic Luberon locations.
